Introduction
The Beech park area is situated in a geographic location that is surrounded by high volume traffic routes which could affect pollution levels and air quality
The N11
Clonkeen Road
Kill Lane
It would be interesting to be able to quantify and understand the levels of pollution and air quality currently and if pollution and air quality levels will increase in the future due to the changes to the N11 and the expected increases in traffic volume. I assume due to the move to EV's traffic related pollution has decreased accross DLR
There are a number of pollution and air quality mechanisms in place in DLRCC, however there does not seem to be any monitoring in place for our area e.g carbon dioxide monitoring on the part of the N11 that sits above our area and could be affected by our location with respect to the hills above our area and the probability that pollution will be pushed downwards from the N11 directly towards all the houses in our area. This is a similar concept to how sound travels and how we can hear sound clearly during race meetings in Leopardstown or concerts in Marley Park
